The 23rd Congressional District lies on California's South and Central Coasts and is considered one of the most beautiful areas in the country. The district includes sections of Ventura, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo counties, stretching from Oxnard in the south to the Monterey County line in the north. 

This region of California features a spectacular coastline and majestic mountains. It includes a unique mix of large cities, smaller cities and towns, and bountiful vineyards, farms and ranches. The district offers an almost limitless array of recreational opportunities and is home to a number of national parks, forests, and marine sanctuaries. It also features several renowned colleges and universities.
